If you choose CZ via Gemeente Amsterdam, you will receive a 22% discount on additional insurance and a 16% discount on dental insurance. Please note: CZdirect only offers dental insurance as part of its Slim additional insurance package.

Yes, with general insurance from CZdirect or CZ, you can visit any hospital in the Netherlands. Are we still negotiating a contract with your hospital? Then you will still be reimbursed for the costs of your care under the general insurance. Find a hospital in your region.

With every additional insurance policy taken out through Gemeente Amsterdam, you receive a personal prevention credit. You can use your personal prevention credit to promote a healthier lifestyle and better health. The credit can be spent on online training courses or an annual HealthCheck, for example. If you opt for supplementary insurance through Gemeente Amsterdam, the credit for Start, Goed & Slim is €150 per year, for Basis €250, for Plus €350, and for Top €400.

No, don't worry. CZ accepts everyone and there is no medical selection. There is one exception, namely the supplementary dental insurance Uitgebreid Tand Collectief. CZ may ask for a statement, but if you already had comprehensive dental insurance with your previous insurer, you will be accepted immediately.

CZ will take over current authorizations and treatments. The condition for this is that you choose a comparable CZ package that corresponds to your current package. An exception to this are current orthodontic treatments. See the question below for a detailed explanation.

There is always a one-year waiting period for orthodontic treatment reimbursement, even for ongoing treatments. Therefore, no reimbursement will be made in this case.

Yes, this is possible if you have group insurance with CZ and your family members are listed on your policy. You and your family will then both receive a group discount on the additional insurance. You can easily add your family members to your policy via My CZ. Do you have children who live away from home and are studying? They can also be added to your policy. This way, everyone in your family benefits from the group discount on additional insurance. And all other group benefits, such as an annual HealthCheck and the option to carry over 5 unused physiotherapy treatments.

You can choose health insurance online and calculate your premium as soon as the new premiums are announced (mid-November). The new insurance will then take effect on January 1.

Would you like to switch to CZ? Then cancel your old insurance by December 31 of the current year at the latest. You can then take out health insurance with us until February 1 of the new year. Your new health insurance will then take effect on January 1 of the new year.

We will arrange the cancellation for you if you apply for our health insurance before January 1 of the new year. If you apply for our health insurance between January 1 and February 1, you will have to arrange the cancellation yourself.

No. Employees who are currently insured with Zilveren Kruis will receive a letter from VGA with information about how you can use your ‘health insurance comparison tool’ to see whether CZ has an attractive offer. The letter refers to the VGA website, where you can find information and the health insurance comparison tool. Click here for the VGA website. It does not include a premium calculation because VGA is not the health insurer. This letter will be sent after the premiums have been announced, around November 18. You have until December 31, 2025, to decide whether you want to switch to another health insurance provider, such as CZ.

Yes, you will lose the group discount that applies to employees of the Gemeente Amsterdam. Zilveren Kruis will make you a new offer without this group discount. You will receive a letter about this from November 13. You have until December 31, 2025, to decide whether you want to switch to CZ or another health insurer. Compare the different health insurers and see which insurance is most suitable for you.

If you cancel your health insurance before January 1, 2026, but have not yet chosen a new one, you have until February 1, 2026, to register with a new health insurer. The start date will then be January 1, 2026.
