Roll over your unused physiotherapy sessions for free

Nothing. You can roll over as many as 5 unused physiotherapy sessions for free. You will pay the normal premium for the additional insurance package you have selected.

No, you don’t have to do anything. If you have group health insurance and an additional insurance package with a reimbursement for physiotherapy for this year, and you also did in 2022, as many as 5 unused physiotherapy sessions will be rolled over to the new year. You do not need to take any action yourself.

Here are a few examples:

• You had the ‘Start’ additional insurance package in 2022. Since this package does not include a physiotherapy reimbursement, you cannot roll over physiotherapy sessions to 2023.
• You had the ‘Plus Collectief’ additional insurance package in 2022 and have taken out the ‘Compact Collectief’ additional insurance package for this year. Both these packages include a physiotherapy reimbursement, so you can roll over your physiotherapy sessions to 2023.
• You had the ‘Basis Collectief’ additional insurance package in 2022 but have switched to the ‘Start’ additional insurance package for this year. Given that the ‘Start’ additional insurance package does not include a physiotherapy reimbursement, you cannot roll over your physiotherapy sessions to 2023.
• You had group health insurance in 2022, but you won’t in this year. Instead, you will have individual health insurance with CZ. You cannot roll over your physiotherapy sessions to 2023.
• You have taken out the ‘Basis Collectief’ additional insurance package for this year, and you also had this package in 2022. This package includes a physiotherapy reimbursement, so you can roll over your physiotherapy sessions to 2023.

The physiotherapy rollover applies to general physiotherapy and/or Cesar/Mensendieck exercise therapy sessions.

Unfortunately not. If you had an additional insurance package with a reimbursement for physiotherapy this year, but will only take out a general insurance policy for next year, you cannot roll over your unused physiotherapy sessions to the new year.

You can use your rolled-over physiotherapy sessions until the end of the new year. So, if you roll over 4 unused physiotherapy sessions from 2022, you can use them at any time until 31 December 2023. Rolled-over sessions are, therefore, valid for a maximum of 1 policy year.

This is because the first quarter of 2023 will be used to process all the invoices from physiotherapists.

If all claims have been processed, you can check how many unused sessions have been rolled over from 2022 on ‘Mijn CZ’ from 1 April 2023.
