Long-term visitors

If you are expecting a visitor or workers from abroad, you should make sure that they are properly insured for medical costs in the Netherlands, because costs mount up fast in the event of illness or an accident. Furthermore, the costs of medical care in the Netherlands may be higher than those abroad.

Health insurance with cover for visitors from abroad

In partnership with CZ, OOM Specialised Insurance offers two types of cover for visitors from abroad:

  • ‘OOM Schengen Visitor Insurance’
  • ‘OOM Provisional Residence in the Netherlands Insurance’

  • valid for up to 6 months
  • complies with Schengen visa requirements
  • no cover for costs of care/treatment for complaints that predate the insurance
